BioYouToon is an Erasmus + Cooperation partnersips project promoting bio-diversity awareness among youth thropugh capacity building, training, exchange and a series of digital comic.
We kicked the project off with a meeting in Berlin. Project partners discussed the deliverables and workflow, the e-learning platform to be created, the local multiplier events to be hosted by each partner in their country, the toolkit development training sessions in Iznik (Türkiye), and the International Dissemination Conference in Italy.
Project partners include Impact Grid e.V. (Germany), Nicea Culture and Education Association (Türkiye), MV International (Italy), NGO NEST BERLIN e.V. (Germany), Polygonal North oy (Finland) and of course, Xsentrikarts (Austria).
XsentrikArts to develop Bio-Webtoon Comics
Funded by the Erasmus + Program (EU), BioYouToon aims to raise awareness among youth through capacity building, exchange and… storytelling.
That last item is where Xsentrikarts comes in: through local training programs in Iznik (Türkiye), Sardinia (Italy), Berlin (Germany), and Vienna (Austria), participants will not only be trained on promoting and preserving bio-diversity, but will also obtain the opportunity to get creative…
…develop stories, concepts, characters and ideas that will be translated (or developed) into digital comics.
Xsentrikarts will oversee the process and work with young artists in Vienna to create a series of digital comics we hope will inspire a new generation to take action.
We’re looking forward to developing training modules, interacting with the youth on topics of bio-diversity conservation and witness their creativity flow as they come up with characters, situations and stories on the topic of preserving the diversity of our ecological system.
