about

XsentrikArts was established in 2012 by Yilmaz Vurucu (filmmaker) and Bahanur Nasya (Architect/Social Planner). Initially meant to function as a non-profit platform enabling the two to create their hearts’ desires, its has since developed and morphed into a content creation platform, which still enables artists and developers to create their hearts’ desires.

We are a small organization, in perpetual development, constantly busy with networking, collaborating with other artists, developing projects and seeking funding and/or distribution. From more standard formats to the more experimental; from conventional films and documentaries to Virtual Reality experiments, we create motion media projects and content that’s not only engaging, but also questions arbitrary boundaries and stretches across various disciplines.

Founders:

After attending Temple University’s prestigious film program (Philadelphia, U.S.A.) he moved back to Canada and began working in the Canadian TV industry as a producer/director. He honed his skills by directing commercials and music videos in his free time. Since 2009, he’s been focusing on writing and producing his own projects. Being forced to do it all has also endowed him with a vast range of talents and skills as a writer, videographer, editor, producer, collaborator and director. He currently resides in Vienna, Austria, with his family.

Bahanur Nasya is a Viennese Architect, designer and film producer. She has produced borders and dr. zack upto date and is currently busy collaborating with yilmaz vurucu on new film projects. Her research into the architecture/culture/lifestyle of the Black Sea coastline and a cross comparison with the situation in the Austrian Alps is also the main theme of the new documentary to be produced by XsentrikArts.

Partners and Collaborators:

MarioKainer

With an arsenal of unprecedented film knowledge and a library of almost every film made, Mario collaborates with us on writing scripts and helping bring our productions to life. When not watching a film or talking about movies, you can find him in a Viennese cafe, hunched over, hacking away at the keyboard.

Deniz Opal runs a computer game studio, codes games, writes movie scripts, sees the world in binary, and when he can find the time, single handedly brings down corrupt warlord nations using the long lost ancient martial art style “Bokator”.
One of the above statements is false.

Dr. Saint Victor is a Harvard Graduate who got his MD from UNC Chapel Hill School of medicine. 2 years into his Psychiatry residency he felt the lure of game development and film making. That pull brought him to Xsentrik where he is looking forward to embedding neuroscience in cinema. Maniacal laugh, maniacal laugh.
